This is a local success story! Our client is a Vancouver based company with head-office in Vancouver. They have expanded from a small local community company to a multi-provinces leader in the industry. They are still going through “growth” mode after almost 30years in business!

Our client is adding a new Senior Accountant role to facilitate their growth. Suitable candidate will be a newly designated CPA with solid public practice experience/training to take on this role. Or, candidates who have passed CFE will also be considered.

Reporting to the Controller, you will have solid experience in dealing with multiple sets of books from day-to-day accounting operation, financial reporting to tax preparation including T2s, T3s, T4s and T5s filing. This position will involve day-to-day operation and accounting related issues. Likewise analysis skills are greatly valued to improve on various matters. You will also required to handle financial reporting for external entities (lenders, government agencies and other stakeholders) and internally for senior management. Duties will include:

· Prepare monthly sites’ financial statements;
· Prepare quarterly statutory health authority reports;
· Prepare annual sites’ budgets;
· Liaise with auditors for the year-end audit process;
· Prepare GST filings where required;
· Prepare and assist in filing corporate tax returns and partnership returns;
· Operational analyses, including actual v budget, monitoring KPIs;
· Manage AR, AP and bank functions carried out by clerks and site administrators; and,
· Ad hoc duties as requested by the management team.

Candidates are best to have their own vehicle for this location. Candidates from mid-size public practice firms with solid ASPE, private business compilation files and T2s preparation are welcome. The location is easily accessible from Richmond. Co is offering hybrid work
