Industry Field Application Specialist - Ontario

Position Overview

This field-based role covers the Ontario province, providing solution-oriented consultative training, technical support, and troubleshooting at customer sites and remotely, on bioMérieux’s Clinical and Industry product lines. The goal is to ensure efficient implementation and go-live of new instrumentation, retain current customer business, and develop strong customer relationships to foster loyalty and positive referrals. The role promotes teamwork, removes barriers to productivity, and fosters a positive work environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver technical training, consultation, demonstrations, implementation, and ongoing support for bioMérieux’s Industry and Clinical product lines.
• Respond to customer inquiries, ensure regulatory compliance through accurate documentation in CRM, and collaborate with internal teams including Sales Partners, Application Specialists, Field / System Engineers, IT, Management, and Customer Support.
• Follow up to optimize customer systems and satisfaction, meeting key performance indicators.
• Manage territory efficiently, including travel within budget constraints.
• Work with Account Managers to support revenue initiatives and develop strategies for excellent customer service and business growth.

Qualifications and Experience

• MLT and Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in microbiology / molecular biology; IT & software experience is an asset.
• 3-5 years of clinical or industrial microbiology laboratory experience, with senior or supervisory roles preferred. Experience with bioMérieux products is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies

• Leadership, mentoring, autonomous work capability, multitasking, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Windows OS, MS Office, CRM systems (reporting and dashboards), and networking or LIS experience is a plus.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, troubleshooting, customer-oriented, and solution-focused skills.
• Valid driver’s license and up-to-date vaccinations as required.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
