Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging industrial training and technical education lessons that meet the BC curriculum standards.
• Instruct students in various technical and vocational skills, including woodworking, metalworking, and other trades.
• Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment in the workshop and classroom.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support.
• Develop and utilize educational materials and resources to enhance technical instruction.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enhance student learning.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Certified to teach in British Columbia.
• Experience teaching industrial training or technical education at the school level is preferred.
• Strong understanding of technical education curriculum standards and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
