As an Industrial Security Guard, there is a high focus on communication skills, desk duties, and scheduled patrols, since you will be working with people all shift, in industrial environments.

Responsibilities for Industrial Security Guard
- Maintain a safe and secure environment
- Access control of entry ways and exit points using equipment at your disposal
- Perform patrols on site according to schedule to determine any unusual activity using G-track device
- CCTV monitoring
- Prevent unauthorized access, identifying/reporting any theft or vandalism on site
- Keeping a record of visitors/employees/contractors entering the plant through security office
- Observing any possible threats by camera views on different sites
- Take actions on new card requests and process the replacement or lost card requests
- Run fingerprint screening for the new employees and contractors getting in business with Canada Post
- Contacting and sharing information by the means of radio wireless technology
- Create/modify work orders with building management and contractors
- Keeping all the documents organized and sorted for easy access to key details
- Providing access cards
- Enforce property regulations and city by-laws on the client's site
- Performing interior and exterior patrols
- Protect the client's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
- Complete daily reports and incident reports
Qualifications for Industrial Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Manitoba security license
- First aid certification an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in the security industry (asset)
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident for the last 5 years
- Be excellent with technology
- Valid Manitoba Security Guard License
- Customer service oriented
- Be able to pass reliability clearance
- Be able to work overnight shifts
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a stressful environment
