Job description

Overview

Wage : $19.25 / hour, Night Shift Premium $1.50 / hour (if applicable)

Shift : Flexible availability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as necessary.

Typical Daily Tasks

• Maintain cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding areas.
• Use cleaning equipment (scrapers, brushes, pads, vacuums, scrub machines, compressed air, power washers) to clean production floors, ceilings, and walls of the bakery (warehouse, freezer, refrigerators, packing, and production areas).

Responsibilities

• Lock out, dismantle, clean, and sanitize production machines as required, following the master sanitation schedule and SOPs.
• Follow cleaning procedures in accordance with GMP standards and health and safety guidelines.
• Collect and dispose of waste and recyclable materials from the production area.
• Assist in cleaning major spills of liquids or dry products as needed.
• Perform specialized cleaning procedures as per the sanitation schedule.
• Comply with all relevant food safety, health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• A passion for bread and baked goods.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
• Experience in sanitation, especially industrial sanitation, is a plus.
• Comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet cleanliness standards.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be self-reliant, eager to learn, and proactive in managing your career.
