Hiring Industrial Painters and Sand Blasters

Job Description

We are seeking two Industrial Painters or Sand Blasters with experience on industrial projects who are eager to learn new skills. The work involves industrial painting, coating, and sandblasting within industrial environments. We are looking for ambitious individuals with a go-getter attitude who consistently show up to work.

Responsibilities

• Surface preparation using hand tools such as sandpaper and scrapers, and power tools like grinders and orbital sanders.
• Support blasters by pulling blast lines, filling blast pots, and fueling compressors.
• Assist painters by pulling paint lines and moving lights.
• Perform brush and roll painting.
• Execute masking with tape and paper.
• All tasks will be performed under supervision, with training and mentorship provided.

Required Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience with industrial painting and/or sandblasting
• Ability to travel to the site daily
• Reliability and consistent work attendance
• Ability to work from heights
• Good communication skills
• Able to work afternoon and evening shift as required (project based)

Nice to Have Additional Skills

• Industrial painting/sandblasting experience
• CSTS and fall protection certification
• Additional safety tickets

Work Environment

Various job sites include locations such as Shell, Parkland, Imperial Oil, Fortis BC, and others, with jobs in New West/Surrey/Port Moody/Burnaby. Shift normally starts at 6am or 7am and offers overtime after 8 hours daily or 40 hours weekly. Saturdays are encouraged. Most sites run 40-50 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
