Job Title: Industrial Painter

Job Description

Join a dynamic shipyard and boat repair service yard specializing in fish boats, tugboats, barges, and custom float structures. As an Industrial Painter, you will engage in diverse projects that challenge and enhance your skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on fishing vessels, tugs, and barges.
• Prepare the area for painting and maintenance.
• Strip paint and use hand tooling for refinishing.
• Conduct sandblasting and paint preparation.
• Assist trainees in skill development.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in industrial painting.
• 5 years of experience in sandblasting.
• Proficiency in marine sandblasting and paint preparation.
• Experience with sanding, spray painting, and using a paint booth.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Capability to wear a full sanding suit and lift 50lbs.

Work Environment

Work primarily outdoors, with some tasks performed up to 25 feet high. Wear a sandblasting suit and steel-toed safety boots, with safety glasses/goggles provided. Join a team of three, and bring your own boots and jackets. Occasionally, extra coveralls or Tyvek suits are provided. The work location is on Mitchell Island, Richmond, Canada, with shift times from 7:30 AM to 4 PM and potential overtime. Travel to off-site locations may be required.

Job Type & Location

Full time, long term opportunity, need someone asap and lots of OT available and premiums.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
