Working with Joe Soroczynski@ Armo-Tool (West Location: 9827 Longwoods Rd. London, ON)

Wage: $30-$40 / hr. (mean is $38.50 / hr.) based on experience.

Ultimate Compensation: after 1 year 2% RRSP-matches, after 5 years 3%; Benefits: 80% coverage (up to $1500 depending), dental $400 every 24 months, most prescription drugs at no cost to employee.

  • Previous Millwright left due to soft skills or workload management issues.
  • Ideal candidate has 4+ years experience, primarily mechanical, with skills in precision mills, grinders, CNC and manual lathes, electrical repair/experience, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Responsibilities include installing, aligning, maintaining, and repairing stationary industrial machinery (e.g., conveyors, gearboxes, turbines, hydraulic, pneumatic systems).
  • Tools range from hand tools and cranes to micrometers, grinders, and welders; must be able to read blueprints.
  • Mechanical understanding: 9/10; Electrical understanding: 7-8/10.
  • Approximately 40% of time on preventive maintenance; 60% troubleshooting.
  • Controls include Allen Bradley, Omiron, Siemens CNC machines, Mazak vertical CNC Mills, and related tasks like installing and leveling (not commissioning).
  • Assist Maintenance Lead Hand and lower-level apprentices.
  • Work environment is climate-controlled and indoors, with tooling allowances.

Client interview process involves three stages: initial interview with Joe, second with Maintenance Supervisor/Lead Hand, and final with HR Manager, all scheduled before 5 PM.

Interviews focus on personality and technical questions, including electrical codes and mechanical/electrical knowledge.

Shifts: Straight days Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexible start times. Occasional later days and some weekend work for emergency coverage, typically 3-4 hours.
