Job summary

Blue Mountain Plastics Recycling, part of Ice River Sustainable Solutions, seeks a Maintenance Technician to join ourShelburne, Ontario maintenance team. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining plastics recycling equipment including shredders, grinders, conveyors, pumps and hydraulic systems.

We prefer a 433A Industrial Millwright, but will consider experienced apprentices or unlicensed skilled technicians.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, motors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
Able to work day or afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical issues on plastics recycling machinery and plant equipment.
Maintain and repair shredders, grinders, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes and bearings.
Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to improve reliability.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.
Support equipment installations and upgrades.
