Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience using standard Millwright tools and equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Basic electrical industrial wiring knowledge is an asset.

About The Role

As an Industrial Millwright II, you will dismantle, assemble, install, wire, align, and repair machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, manuals, and other drawings at an industrial site, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, machine tools, and power tools. You will report to the Shop Supervisor and be based at our Burlington, Ontario facility. This is an onsite position with day shift hours, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all Risk Assessment requirements for the equipment being used.
  • Write Risk Assessments.
  • Deliver results within the scheduled time.
  • Participate in Tool Box talks and other communications.
  • Manage large projects.
  • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Maintain records of assembly and test operations.
Qualifications
  • College Diploma and recognized Trade Certificate (Red Seal or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience using standard Millwright tools and equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment.
  • Experience building foundations and installing machines with hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel.
  • Welding experience with various metals including carbon and stainless steels is an asset.
  • Knowledge of safe handling of materials and recognizing unsafe situations.
  • Basic electrical industrial wiring knowledge is an asset.
  • Operate engine lathe and other machine tools to grind, file, and turn parts to specifications.
  • Documented crane operator training is an asset.
