Industrial Millwright at Guelph, Ontario

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Millwright to join our team in Guelph, Ontario. This role is critical in ensuring the operational efficiency of our manufacturing processes by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of various industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with an ability to work flexibly across different shifts, including nights and weekends. A proactive approach to preventive maintenance and a commitment to safety standards are essential for success in this position.

Salary: $82,000.00 - $86,500.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on both electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and effective work environment.
  • Complete administrative tasks effectively, including permitting, parts requisitions, and maintenance of work order records.
  • Engage in regular inspection and testing of machinery to foresee potential failures and mitigate risks.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Must possess an Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate (Full License).
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada with a minimum age of 18 years.
  • Capable of performing physical job duties including bending, stooping, lifting at least 50lbs, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent and basic computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in food manufacturing or similar industrial settings.
  • Understanding of CFIA requirements and basic food safety practices.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in production-related roles or as an Industrial Millwright.
  • Ability to work comfortably in varied indoor and outdoor environments, including adverse conditions like heat, cold, or dust, while wearing appropriate PPE.
