Project Millwright (433A)

Feversham, Ontario

Starting Rate: $43.75/hour

Ice River Sustainable Solutions is looking for two licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwrights) to join our team in Feversham, Ontario.

This is not a traditional maintenance role. You'll begin your career with Ice River supporting major capital projects and new high-speed production line installations, working alongside our engineering and project teams to build, install, commission, and optimize manufacturing equipment. If you enjoy fabrication, rigging, mechanical installations, and bringing new equipment to life, this is an exciting opportunity to work on some of our most significant manufacturing projects.

Successful candidates will begin in a dedicated Projects role, supporting major capital projects and new production line installations at our Feversham facility. This initial assignment is expected to last approximately six months and will primarily be scheduled on straight days. Upon completion of the projects, employees will transition into a permanent role based on operational needs, which may include the Projects Team, the Feversham Maintenance Team, or another nearby Ice River facility. Permanent placement may require a continental shift schedule.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Install, assemble, align, and commission new high-speed production equipment and complete production lines.
  • Participate in major capital projects, plant expansions, and equipment upgrades.
  • Perform mechanical installations using blueprints, equipment layouts, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Safely rig, lift, position, and secure machinery and production equipment.
  • Fabricate brackets, guards, supports, platforms, and other mechanical components as required.
  • Modify existing equipment to accommodate new production requirements.
  • Assist with equipment testing, commissioning, production start-up, and final mechanical adjustments.
  • Work closely with engineers, contractors, electricians, and internal project teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all Health & Safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and safe rigging practices.
What We’re Looking For
  • Licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright).
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience installing, commissioning, or relocating high-speed manufacturing equipment.
  • Proven experience with mechanical assembly, precision alignment, rigging, and equipment installation.
  • Strong fabrication skills, including the ability to build or modify simple mechanical components and supports.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layouts, mechanical drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong understanding of conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, drives, pumps, and other industrial mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple trades and contractors.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience installing and commissioning high-speed food, beverage, or packaging production lines.
  • Experience with bottling, conveying, palletizing, robotics, injection moulding, or other highly automated manufacturing systems.
  • Previous involvement with large capital projects, plant expansions, or complete production line installations.
Why Join Ice River?
  • Starting wage of $43.75/hour
  • Begin your career on exciting capital projects with an initial straight-day schedule before transitioning into your long-term role within Ice River.
  • Opportunity to work on major production line installations and cutting-edge manufacturing technology.
  • Tool allowance.
  • Paid professional development opportunities.
  • Long-term career growth across multiple Ice River facilities and project teams.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Enjoy working outside the city with minimal traffic and an excellent quality of life.
