Job summary

Magnera Corporation in North Bay, Ontario is seeking a licensed Industrial Mechanic/Millwright to join our maintenance team. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing process equipment across extrusion and textile operations on a 12-hour continental rotating shift.

You will diagnose breakdowns, implement improvements, and uphold safety, quality, and attendance standards in a manufacturing environment that operates 24/7.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Ontario 433A license or Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright.
• Red Seal is considered an asset.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment as part of a maintenance team to improve overall equipment effectiveness.
• Diagnose breakdowns and implement solutions to reduce downtime and improve processes.
• Apply continuous improvement thinking to identify root causes of part failures.

• Permanent Full-Time
• 12-hour Continental Rotating Shift Schedule
• Base Rate: $41.31/hour

Qualifications

• Ontario (433A) Industrial Mechanic Millwright License / Certificate of Qualification
• Inter-Provincial Red Seal endorsement considered an asset
• 3 years experience as a Licensed Industrial Mechanic Millwright preferred
• trade experience in the manufacturing sector considered an asset
• basic computer skills
• positive attitude, reliable, motivated, good organizational skills, strong communication skills and strong attendance record
• additional education, training, dual tickets also considered assets
• experience with shift work considered an asset
• must be 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada
