Job summary

Keyera is seeking a Journeyman Millwright to support our Fort Saskatchewan Fractionation Facility. You will perform day-to-day mechanical tasks on field and plant equipment while upholding a safe work environment and compliance with OH&S standards.

Ideal candidates hold Red Seal Journeyman Millwright certification with 5–7 years of experience in chemical, pipeline or oil & gas settings, can read blueprints, and are proficient with Maximo CMMS.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Millwright certification required.
• 5–7 years of journeyman experience in chemical/oil & gas assets.
• Ability to read blueprints and related documents.
• Proficient with Maximo CMMS or similar maintenance software.
• Valid driver's license and familiar with service trucks and cranes.
• Willing to work overtime and on-call as needed.
• Health and safety certifications (H2S Alive, WHMIS) are assets.
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment at various locations.
• Maintain centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, mechanical seals, compressors, valves and valve operators.
• Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance on rotating equipment.
• Conduct pump alignments based on preventative and scheduled maintenance.
• Fit bearings and align gears and shafts.
• Attach motors and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
• Plan and execute lifting and rigging jobs, including critical lifts.
• Participate in maintenance and project installations as required.
• Oversee third-party support crews on overhauls and planned outages.
• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports in Maximo.
• Comply with OH&S Standards, safety training requirements, CSOPs, SSOP, and Operational Excellence.

THE POSITION

Keyera is currently seeking a Journeyman Millwright to support our Fort Saskatchewan Fractionation Facility. The Journeyman Millwright will be responsible for day-to-day mechanical assignments involving field and plant equipment, while maintaining a safe working environment.

• Conduct pump alignments based on preventative and scheduled maintenance.

• Plan and execute lifting and rigging jobs, including critical lifts.
• Participate in maintenance and project installations as required.
• Oversee third-party support crews on overhauls and planned outages.
• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports as required in Maximo.
• Comply with OH&S Standards, safety training requirements, corporate CSOPs, Site Safe Operating Practice (SSOP), and Operational Excellence requirements.
• Work together with site personnel to support a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Millwright Certification from an accredited institution.
• 5-7 years’ experience in a journeyman role within the chemical, pipeline or oil & gas industry assets.
• Must be capable of reading blueprints and associated informational documents.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in the Maximo application, or similar Maintenance Software programs (CMMS).
• Cat 1 and MLA/MLT certifications are considered strong assets.
• Valid driver’s license and familiar with the operation of a Service truck and lifting crane.
• Must be available to work overtime and callouts as required.
• Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid Certificates an asset.
• Experience working in a unionized environment would be considered an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
