Qualifications

Position: Industrial Mechanician

Location: Metcalfe facility, Southern Ottawa

Availability: Must be available to work day shifts during the week or weekends, as required.

Job Responsibilities

1. Ensure the reliability and proper functioning of machines, equipment, and systems.
2. Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, program, and lead preventative maintenance on mechanical components.
3. Manage parts inventory, lead mechanical shutdowns, and maintain reporting and record-keeping.
4. Maintain housekeeping and safety standards, and implement safety improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma in industrial mechanics or electromechanics.
• Electric competency.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in an industrial environment.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
• Machining skills.
• Arc/TIG welding skills.
• Ability to interpret mechanical parts.
• Experience with hand tools.
