Job description

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, Night Shift (Sunday-Thursday 10pm-7am)

Compensation: $35-$40/hour + Benefits

Our client is one of Canada’s largest and most reputable electronic recyclers. They pride themselves on their ability to provide comprehensive recycling solutions for all used electronics and other electrical equipment.

They are expanding at a rapid rate and are seeking to add an Industrial Mechanic to their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve motor, pump, conveyor and hydraulic problems
  • Check equipment and operating systems and correct wherever necessary
  • Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality
  • Ensure high level technical support to lower-level technicians
  • Repair and perform preventive maintenance as per established standards
  • Use hand tools like power tools and rigging equipment
  • Troubleshooting including such areas as PLC, servo, motor controls, vision systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, equipment and other related systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 433A millwrighting certificate preferred
  • Must have excellent mechanical, electrical & process controls background with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and issues
  • Must possess the ability to weld and use a cutting torch as necessary
  • Ability to fabricate parts using various tools and equipment
  • Must be in good physical condition with ability to lift at least 50lbs
  • Must be available to work overtime as needed
