At JBS Canada, with approximately 3,300 employees, we are one of Canada's largest beef processors, operating multiple facilities including our main processing plant in Brooks, Alberta. Our Brooks facility processes around 4,200 cattle daily and produces a variety of beef products shipped across Canada and internationally.

We are seeking an Industrial Meat Cutter to join our team at the Brooks plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Cutting beef or carcasses into primal cuts for processing or packaging
• De-boning meat and preparing specific cuts for wholesale use
• Wearing PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and mesh safety equipment
• Working in diverse environments including wet, humid, cold, hot, indoor, or outdoor settings
• Handling animal blood and parts

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a meat cutting program or 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Basic English skills

Work conditions: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physical demands, manual dexterity, attention to detail, standing for long periods, bending, crouching, kneeling. Equipment used includes knives, saws, and power cutting tools. The work environment can be noisy, odorous, hot, or refrigerated.

Applicants may be subject to drug and alcohol testing, and employment is conditional upon passing these tests.

Compensation and benefits: Starting wages of $22.85 - $29.20 per hour, 40 hours/week, with permanent full-time employment, shift work, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, employee purchase programs, RRSP contributions, and more.
