Industrial Meat Cutter – Brooks, AB
Location: Brooks, Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Cut beef or quarters of carcasses into primal cuts for further cutting, processing or packaging, de‑bone meat, and operate saws.
- Cut meat into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or wholesale use.
- Work in a variety of environments including wet, humid, cold, hot, inside or outside.
- Handle animal blood and various parts/contents of a butchered animal.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as provided by the employer.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Completion of a program in industrial meat cutting or 1–2 years of experience as an industrial butcher.
- Basic English skills.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Repetitive tasks.
- Handling heavy loads.
- Physically demanding, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand–eye coordination.
- Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Work site environment: noisy, odors, hot, cold/refrigerated.

Compensation and Benefits
Earn Competitive Starting Wages: $23.35–$29.70, 40.00 hours per week as per collective agreement.
