Job summary

Würth Canada is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain warehouse automation equipment at the Guelph facility, including Knapp shuttle systems, conveyors, and packaging machines.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain records, and ensure safety compliance under OHSA guidelines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Guelph with occasional travel. Flexibility to work after hours and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in industrial maintenance, and mechanical repair, or similar roles specializing in automation.
• Experience with automated systems like the Knapp shuttle system, conveyors, and packaging machinery is required.
• Strong mechanical, and automation troubleshooting skills are required. Electrical skills are an asset.
• Proficiency in using maintenance software to manage work orders and parts inventory.
• Basic programming knowledge (e.g., PLC troubleshooting) is an asset.
• Experience ensuring OHSA compliance, safety inspections, and promoting a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, align, and perform scheduled maintenance on shuttle systems, conveyors, and packaging machines.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to determine work procedures.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs promptly.
• Collaborate with vendor hotline support to resolve complex issues.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and spare parts usage.
• Promote and comply with Health and Safety policies and attend JH&S meetings.
• Oversee maintenance of other equipment as needed and manage expenses.
