Job Overview

GrizzlyTrek is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at a mine site near Williams Lake, BC. This is a contract position for a 5-day outage.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting.
2. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
3. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
4. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
5. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless project operations.
6. Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

1. Journeyman Electrician certification.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial or mining environment.
3. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working on a mine site.
2. Familiarity with automated control systems and PLCs.
3. Certification in first aid and H2S Alive.

Work Environment:

1. Work is performed in an industrial setting with exposure to outdoor conditions.
2. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
