Job Details

• Location: High River, AB
• Type: Full Time
• Shifts Available: 1st and 2nd
• Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:40am – 3:25pm (Dayshift), 3:45pm – 12:30am (Nightshift). Occasional Saturdays for overtime based on business needs

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting at $23.80/hour as per the collective agreement
• Experienced qualified Halal Butchers (2+ years) start at $25.50/hour
• Entry level (less than 2 years experience) starts at $23.80/hour
• Sign-on Bonus: $500

Principal Responsibilities

• Willing to be trained if qualified and meets all Halal requirements
• Slaughter cattle according to religious laws using knives
• Skin, clean, and trim carcasses
• Remove viscera and inedible parts
• Split carcasses into smaller portions
• Use specialized knives and equipment following health, safety, and food handling standards

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Legally able to work in Canada
• Meet all Halal slaughter requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years industrial Halal butchering experience in a manufacturing environment
