Salary: $34.07 CAD - $37.00 CAD per hour depending on experience, annual performance bonus, commissions and discretionary bonus

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Device Production Technologist to support the fabrication and assembly of high-resolution diagnostic catheters. This role requires hands-on precision manufacturing, use of specialized tools and equipment, and strict adherence to regulatory and quality control procedures. The technologist will play a key role in maintaining product quality, performing inspections, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operating and maintaining specialized punching and assembly machinery used in the fabrication of multilumen tubing for water-perfused catheters;

· Using microscopes, trephines, medical-grade silicone adhesives, and gluing techniques to assemble catheter components with high precision;

· Handling fine, delicate materials and completing manual assembly tasks requiring strong hand-eye coordination;

· Interpreting production schematics, technical drawings, and written instructions to ensure accurate catheter manufacturing;

· Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ISO standards, and internal production protocols to maintain regulatory compliance;

· Performing in-line and final visual inspections of components and finished devices to ensure quality standards are met;

· Completing detailed QA documentation, including checklists, production records, and reporting to quality inspectors;

· Collaborating with production and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and support validation activities; and

· Maintaining cleanliness of the work area and adhering to safety and sanitization protocols, including use of isopropyl alcohol and compressed air systems.

Qualifications:

· Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field is preferred. Equivalent experience in precision manufacturing or medical device assembly will also be considered;

· Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally in catheter or medical device production;

· Proven ability to use microscopes, air compressors, trephines, and hand tools such as tweezers and pliers for fine-scale technical work;

· Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity, with experience handling delicate materials in a clean, quality-controlled setting;

· Familiarity with QA processes, technical documentation, and regulatory reporting is considered a strong asset;

· Able to follow SOPs and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485) with precision and consistency;

· Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
