Job summary

Raytheon ELCAN in Midland, Ontario, is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to enhance production efficiency and drive continuous improvement. You will map material flow, lead improvement projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a defense-focused environment.

The role requires a strong background in Lean/Six Sigma, capacity analysis, and CAD-based modeling, with opportunities for leadership and career growth in a high-mix, mid-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent in engineering/science).
• P.Eng license considered an asset or working toward it.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment (defense industry preferred).
• Experience with high-mix, mid-volume production environments.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.
• Experience with capacity analysis, manufacturing technologies, production systems, and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of simulation tools.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, and team-building skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop production area models using process flows, value streams, Pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to map material flow and KPIs.
• Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify issues and opportunities.
• Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on capacity, automation, digital transformation, infrastructure, and new tech integration.
• Partner with program management, operations, facilities, and engineering to optimize factory layout and support program needs.
• Lead FMEA reviews, scrap analyses, feasibility studies, and ROI-based cost-benefit evaluations.

The salary range for this role is 65,000 CAD - 107,800 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
