Job description

The Opportunity:

Maple Leaf is an organization of passionate people who are passionate about food. We currently have an opening for an Industrial Electrician within our Edmonton Plant.
Hourly Rate: $46.21

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
  • Troubleshooting/repairs/installations of electrical and mechanical services with a knowledge of 600 V AC and lower field wiring complete with a good grasp of associated instrumentation and controls/PLCs
  • Carry out verbal/written work requests and apply corrective measures in a timely fashion
  • Have intermediate grasp of related mechanical requirements and apply corrective measures
  • Perform preventative maintenance and regular work orders and account for inventory and labour on computerized maintenance system
  • Fulfill all Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, WHIMS, MSDS and BRC policy requirements
What You’ll Bring:
  • Poultry processing experience an asset
  • Journeyman Red Seal Certificate holder for a minimum of 2 years
  • Accustomed to working with computerized maintenance and inventory reporting system
  • Excellent English both verbal and written skills
  • Self-directed/motivated team player open to new technology with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Must have a full complement of personal/professional hand tools identified specifically for Food Safety program
