Job summary

AGS Automotive Systems is seeking a licensed electrician in Oshawa, Ontario, to provide electrical installation, repair and maintenance across plant equipment and facilities. The role requires reading schematics, performing preventive maintenance and ensuring compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code and OHSA.

The successful candidate will work with hand and power tools, rigging gear and elevating platforms, and will handle wiring, power distribution, motor drives and lighting systems on site.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an electrician in Ontario.
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent and Ontario Certification of Qualification.
• Experience with electrical maintenance and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain electrical equipment across building, machinery and equipment.
• Read and revise schematics, drawings and wiring documentation.
• Select and use hand tools, power tools, rigging and elevating platforms safely.
• Install and service busways, branch circuits and wiring for power and lighting.
• Troubleshoot power distribution, motor drives and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with OHSA and Canadian Electrical Code.
