Maple Leaf Foods Inc. in Ontario is seeking a licensed Industrial/Construction Electrician to maintain, install, and repair electrical systems in compliance with ESA and the Ontario Building Code. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and take daily work directions from Production Supervisors.

The role involves troubleshooting PLCs, interpreting schematics, working with ESA inspectors, and performing preventive maintenance while upholding safety and food-safety standards.

Competenze

• Valid Provincial Certificate for Industrial or Construction Electrician.
• Experience with computers, paperwork accuracy, and SAP.
• Successfully pass in-house power truck/elevated work platform training and tests.
• Good communication skills in English (reading and speaking).
• Physically fit to perform required tasks including heavy lifting (25 kg+).
• Ability to follow directions and work as a team player.
• Willingness to work shifts as scheduled.

Mansioni

• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and devices, PLCs, and proactively solve problems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics; identify parts for repairs.
• Interact with ESA Inspectors and maintain ESA logbook.
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Operate power truck equipment (stacker, forklift, elevated work platform, walkie/rider).
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and document work thoroughly.
• Follow standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines (HACCP, WHMIS, food safety).
• Contribute to safe, high-quality food production and team performance.
