Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns with urgency to minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems and controls
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
  • Inspect, test, and repair electrical and electronic components and boards
  • Perform minor PLC troubleshooting and program edits as required
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario Electrical Safety Code standards
  • Complete detailed maintenance documentation within the CMMS system
  • Support apprentices and junior tradespersons with training and guidance
  • Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams during equipment repairs and PM activities
Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting wage: $41.50–$43.00/hour
  • Progression opportunities leading up to just shy of $47/hour
  • Shift premiums:
    • Afternoons: $0.75/hour
    • Nights: $1.50/hour

Schedule
  • Rotating 12‑hour continental shifts
  • 2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights
  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Shift rotation changes after the 3‑day weekend
  • Overtime paid after 84 hours bi‑weekly
Qualifications
  • Valid Ontario 442A or 309A Electrical License is a MUST along with a minimum of 4 years experience working as a licensed Electrician, OR you can provide a certificate of Completed Apprenticeship from Skilled Trades Ontario
  • Strong understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Industrial manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Experience troubleshooting production equipment in a fast‑paced environment
  • Comfortable working with older equipment and legacy systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems is considered an asset
  • PLC troubleshooting or minor editing experience is preferred, but training can be provided
  • Experience in food, packaging, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments is considered an asset
  • Must not be colour blind (testing required during hiring process)
  • Must provide own basic hand tools
