Our Hamilton, Ontario plant manufactures Ingersoll disc blades and coulters that improve farm productivity and profitability, and we are looking for Electricians to join our multi-trade team and support our manufacturing facility.

Our Total Rewards include :

• 40.82 / hour
• 35 / hour COLA
• 1.50 / hour shift premium
• 12-hour bi-weekly rotating shifts (2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights)
• 1.5 times for 1st overtime occurrence, 2 times for the second occurrence, and beyond

What you will do :

Work collaboratively as part of a team made up of other trades (i.e., millwrights)

Follow all plant, and safety procedures and wear all required personal protective equipment

Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

Inspect, test, dismantle, repair, replace, or adjust faulty parts on wiring on electrical equipment, (i.e., switches, circuit breakers, transformers, panel boards)

Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as jacks, forklifts, and cranes to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery and equipment.

Assist with proactive and reactive troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment to minimize production downtime and delays

Actively contribute to the preventative maintenance program by providing recommendations for improvement.

What you bring,

Industrial Electrician with Inter-Provincial Certificate of Qualification (Red Seal-442A)

Experience working safely in a heavy industrial environment

Follow the Ontario Electrical Safety Code

Working knowledge of OHSA and relevant legislation (e.g., WHMIS, Lockout, Confined Space, Working at Heights, etc.) and willingness to successfully complete employer-paid training

Experience with programmable logic controller (PLC) / industrialized computers, variable frequency drives (VFD) industrial processes, high voltage systems, and PanelView

Able to prioritize urgency based on production requirements

Conduct and complete scheduled preventative maintenance work orders, tasks, and checklists

Accurately document the steps taken and the duration required to diagnose and resolve issues

Ability to work independently and as a contributing, collaborating team member

Basic computer literacy

Safely perform the physical demands of this position including standing, bending, crouching, overhead work, heavy lifting and carrying.
