Job description
Overview

Our client is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Industrial electrician who is trusted to carry out the installation and termination of all electrical equipment, with the aim of delivering the best product possible.

Main Responsibilities
  • Installation and termination of all electrical equipment, using all types of cables (multi-core, single core, co-axial) within all electrical systems (distribution boards, consoles, transformers, communications, low power and lighting etc.)
  • Install and Packing of RISE Gland Systems – Electrical (Sub-Contracted)
  • Installation of Cable Containment and Conduit (Sub-Contracted)
  • Earthing of Equipment to Workmanship Standards
  • Mounting of Electrical Equipment & Components
  • Installation of Shock Mount
  • Termination of Main Distribution Cables
  • Termination and Looming of Control Panels
  • Termination of Small Power & Lighting Cables
  • Understanding of Relevant Trade Drawings
  • Knowledge of Tag Out Process
  • Installation & Screening of Bratburg Gland Systems
Required Qualifications
  • SVQ 3 Marine Engineering (Electrical / Electronic Installation and Testing)
  • SVQ 3 Electrical Installation Apprenticeship or industry recognised equivalent
  • Relevant experience, post-apprenticeship, in a marine installation or industrial installation environment.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • PAT Testing
  • Installation of Electrical Systems in Explosive Areas (CompEx 01-04)
  • Inspection & Testing Electrical Installations (2391)
Shift patterns and overtime
  • Overtime Pay : Mon – Thurs – 1.33 (Time and a 3rd)
  • Friday – Time and a half for the first 4 hours, and double time for anything thereafter
  • Saturday – Time and a half
  • Sunday – Double time
Shift Patterns
  • Night Shift - 33% Rate
  • Day shift - Flat Rate
  • Dayshift, Monday – Thursday, 0700 – 1630
  • Nightshift, Monday – Thursday, 2030 – 0600
