PAY RATE: $46.33/hour

WORK LOCATION: 110 Arnaud St, Amherstburg ON, N9V 2N8

SCHEDULE: Schedule presently Monday through Friday with the possibility of Saturday and Sunday shifts. by-weekly rotation of Midnights, Afternoons, Days - 11pm to 7am - 7am-3:00pm - 3pm-11pm.

About you
You are passionate about machine repairs, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, problem diagnosis and you have a technical understanding of machinery. You enjoy participating in reliability initiatives, opening & closing work orders, training other colleagues. Because you care, you enjoy providing feedback on machinery performance and learn constantly about new methods.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration requirements for all facility electrical equipment.
  • Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and calibration records.
  • Analyze and solve technical equipment problems and failure mode analysis.
  • Repair industrial equipment as specified by the recommended equipment manual standards.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Properly record task completion and use of maintenance parts and materials in SAP using handheld tablet.
  • Set up and manage condition monitoring analysis and trending programs.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional work teams and improvement projects.
  • Meet or exceed operational goals and site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Adhere to Diageo standards and Code of Business Conduct (COBC) policies.
  • Develop, program and troubleshoot PLC programs, SCADA systems and associated functions.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Problem Solving with demonstrated achievements.
  • Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing Methods, and ISO 9000 Standards.
  • Knowledge of SAP PM or other Preventative Maintenance computer system.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent certification is a plus.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proven ability to conduct emergency repairs in plant operational areas.
  • Interprovincial Red Seal certificate of qualification in the industrial Electrician Trade.
  • PLC Programming, Instrumentation and controls experience.
  • Recognize and work with a wide array of handheld tools and electrical meters.
  • Read PID, electrical, mechanical, equipment and layout drawings.
  • Required to walk, climb ladders and stairs, use hand and power tools, and occasionally required to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Able to work overtime and various shifts to respond to breakdowns, incidents or emergencies after “normal” office hours.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work in a high-pace, high-pressure environment while displaying teamwork capability and can-do attitude.
