Industrial Electrical Engineer (CEP) - Relocation to Sept-Îles

Join BBA Consultants as an Industrial Electrical Engineer (CEP) - Relocation to Sept-Îles.

Position Overview: To support project and client development in the Sept-Îles region, BBA seeks to strengthen its local multidisciplinary team. Working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal, and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this team is engaged in developing the Sept-Îles area and executing projects in the mining, metals, and energy sectors. Our electrical engineering teams are distinguished by their technical expertise and deep understanding of operating and maintaining industrial power systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing site surveys and tests on medium- and low-voltage electrical equipment
• Participating in the commissioning of new equipment and systems
• Supporting various stages of project execution
• Ensuring quality of professional services and maintaining client relationships

Key Activities:

• Assist clients with operations, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, staff training, shutdown planning, and asset management
• Design and read electrical drawings
• Draft technical documents, specifications, and reports
• Participate in project management tasks such as scheduling and budgeting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or equivalent
• Up to three years of relevant experience
• Willingness to undertake short-term assignments between Sept-Îles and Labrador City, and across Canada
• Bilingual in English and French, with technical writing skills in both
• Assets include: IGEE graduation, onsite industrial network experience, knowledge of ETAP, EasyPower, CYME, or EMTP-RV software
