Job summary

Traffic Door King in Surrey, BC is seeking a skilled Carpenter for a full-time, on-site role in our shop-based manufacturing environment. You will read drawings, use hand and power tools, and assemble industrial doors from start to finish, ensuring high quality craftsmanship.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in carpentry or woodworking, experience with cabinet making/millwork or related industries, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of carpentry, woodworking, manufacturing, or related experience.
  • Experience with cabinet making, millwork, furniture manufacturing, commercial doors, or similar industries is preferred.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read drawings and accurately follow measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and manufacture industrial doors and related components.
  • Read production drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Perform woodworking, drilling, cutting, fitting, and assembly tasks.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot issues and suggest improvements to production processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily goals.
  • Assist with training and supporting team members as experience grows.
