Northern Uniform Service in Sudbury, Ontario is seeking an Industrial Custodian for a full-time, 40-hour weekly position. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness across production and office areas, including outdoor grounds, with adherence to health and safety regulations.

The successful candidate will perform janitorial duties, restock supplies, and manage site inventory while working as part of a team in a facilities environment that serves the food and manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, squat, kneel, or sit as required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Operate forklifts and tractors on site (training provided).

Responsabilités

• Perform productive facility maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintain cleanliness of production areas, offices, lunchroom, washrooms.
• Follow daily/weekly checklists for sanitation and safety.
• Restock supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
• Manage site inventory and record completed tasks.
• Salt and sand entryways in winter conditions.
• Communicate with Supervisors and Managers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Our state-of-the-art facility requires a responsible, detail-oriented individual to maintainthe cleanliness of our production and office areas through performing preventive and routine janitorial duties.

• Perform productivefacility maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness of the outside grounds of the facility along with the production areas of the facility
• Maintain cleanliness of offices, lunchroom and washrooms according to a set daily and weekly checklists
• Daily tasks include wiping, sanitizing and dusting various surfaces
• Restocking of supplies; soap, paper towel, toilet paper
• Managing site inventory
• Salting and sanding entryways in winter conditions
• Documenting completion of tasks
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Effectively communicate with Supervisors and Managers
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills/Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, squat, kneel, or sit according to task for up to 7 hours a day
• Comfortable working at heights indoors
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75lbs
• Punctual, positive, professional and helpful attitude
• Able to work as a team player among groups of people
• Strong awareness to time management
• Operate forklifts and tractors on site (training provided)
