Job summary
AWC is seeking an intermediate Controls/Automation Engineer to join our Calgary team. The role involves developing industrial control systems from concept through commissioning, including PLCs, HMIs, networking, and field instrumentation.
You will review customer requirements, implement automation solutions, and troubleshoot complex processes on site and in the field. Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years of experience in water/wastewater or turnkey packages, and strong Rockwell/Siemens/Schneider
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in industrial automation.
- Experience in water/wastewater treatment or turnkey process packages an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in PLC/SCADA/HMI development and field commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Develop industrial control systems from concept through commissioning (PLCs, HMIs, networking, field instrumentation).
- Review customer requirements and develop automation solutions to meet project objectives.
- Design and troubleshoot PID-based process control systems and sequence logic from P&IDs.
