Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning/housekeeping experience is required.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
• Must be able to use cleaning equipment.
• Physical ability to carry out duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Dry mop, wet mop and polish hard surface floors using appropriate machines.
• Strip and finish hard floors manually or with power equipment as required.
• Transport garbage to bins/compactor and clean the compactor regularly.
• Move maintenance machinery between floors and job sites.
• Clean glass areas requiring ladders, scaffolding or extension equipment.
• Clean washroom floors and perform stripping/finishing tasks.
• Clean stairwells and elevator cabs where ladders are needed.
• Wash walls, ceilings and dust fixtures including ceiling fans.
• Use equipment to restore carpets and extract dirt where needed.
• Comply with H&S regulations and company policies.
