Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Indirect Tax Manager to join our tax team. This role is instrumental in managing the end-to-end U.S. indirect tax compliance process across multiple legal entities. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of U.S. sales and use tax rules, a strong compliance mindset, and hands-on experience handling complex tax filings and audits. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives and play a key role in maintaining compliance in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full sales and use tax compliance cycle for various U.S. jurisdictions, including the review of monthly, quarterly, and annual returns.
• Ensure accurate and timely indirect tax payments and compliance for all applicable jurisdictions.
• Monitor tax calendar deadlines and coordinate filing schedules to ensure compliance with all state and local reporting requirements.
• Conduct detailed tax research and apply findings to ensure compliance with the latest state and local tax regulations.
• Support and manage indirect tax audits, including gathering documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and providing formal responses.
• Assist with taxability analyses for new products, services, or business initiatives to ensure proper tax treatment.
• Maintain and update exemption certificate management processes and systems.
• Collaborate with internal departments (i.e., Finance, Legal, IT, Procurement, Sales, etc.) to ensure correct tax application and improve internal controls.
• Lead and support automation and process improvement efforts, including the use of tax software (OneSource).
• Train and supervise shared service team members as required.
• Assist with the development and documentation of internal policies and procedures related to indirect tax.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in U.S. indirect tax, with a strong focus on sales and use tax compliance and audit support.
• Solid understanding of U.S. indirect tax laws, compliance requirements, and accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional corporate environment.
• Master’s in Taxation and/or CPA preferred.
• Prior involvement in ERP system upgrades or tax engine integrations.
• Familiarity with reverse charge mechanisms and other indirect tax considerations related to international transactions is a plus.
• Ability to interpret and apply state-specific tax rulings, legislation, and judicial decisions.
• Experience with tax automation systems (OneSource, SAP, S4 Hana) is highly desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
