Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Commodity & Indirect Tax Advisor to join our client’s dynamic team in Calgary, AB.

Are you a commodity tax professional looking for a new challenge in a dynamic, fast paced environment? If so, this job is for you! The commodity tax advisor will be regularly exposed to a wide range of commodity taxes in both a compliance and advisory support capacity.

• Shift: Monday to Friday | 40hour per week | work on site
• Job type: One- year Contract | Full-time

Responsibilities

• Preparation and filing of commodity tax returns including those for fuel tax, excise tax, sales tax and GST/HST, among others.
• Provision of commodity tax advice to internal stakeholders.
• Supports commodity tax team members to administer commodity tax compliance activities and to respond to regulatory audit inquiries including data extraction.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum Two years of Canadian commodity tax compliance experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with SAP, including S4 HANA, is desirable.
• Experience with Power Platform (i.e. Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Query) is desirable.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision in a deadline driven environment.
• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Calgary, AB.
