Job summary
A school district in Metro Vancouver is seeking Indigenous Youth Workers for temporary and casual positions. Responsibilities include implementing programs in First Nations studies and providing culturally sensitive services to children and youth. Qualifications
Completion of a two-year post-secondary education diploma in child/youth care from a recognized college/institution OR completion of two years of university coursework in Psychology or Sociology.
Self-identification of Indigenous ancestry (First Nations, Metis, or Inuit).
2+ years experience working with children and youth (preferably Indigenous).
Responsibilities
Implement and promote individualized and group programs in First Nations studies.
Work under the direction of an administrator/designate.
Provide culturally sensitive services in an educational setting.
