The Algoma District School Board is seeking an Indigenous Education and Community Liaison Lead to manage and implement Indigenous education programs. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance Indigenous student achievement and well-being, requiring strong leadership and community engagement skills.

Summary
Reporting to the Superintendent of Equity, Reconciliation and Well-Being, the Indigenous Education and Community Liaison Lead will work collaboratively to manage, plan, develop, implement and monitor Indigenous education programs and initiatives. The Lead will work closely with the Superintendent, Board and school staff, and the ADSB Indigenous Education Advisory Council to continue, review and initiate efforts to support improved student achievement and well-being among Indigenous students, and to close the achievement gap between Indigenous students and all students. The Lead will manage the Four Directions Indigenous Graduation Coach program. This position has system-wide responsibilities and will be based at the Education Centre in Sault Ste. Marie.

This permanent position works 35 hours per week between the hours of 8 : 30 to 4 : 30 , or as otherwise determined by the Board to meet operational needs.
