Job summary

North Bay Indigenous Hub is hiring a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to deliver the EarlyON program in a welcoming Indigenous-centered environment. You will support children’s development across physical, cognitive, social, spiritual, and emotional domains while engaging families and caregivers in meaningful ways.

Operational hours include days, evenings, and weekends as programming requires. A valid ECE diploma, registration in good standing, and flexible shifts are required;

Qualifications

• Must have an Early Childhood Educator Diploma and be registered in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
• Experience in childcare or EarlyON program is an asset.
• Lived Indigenous culture experience or understanding is valued.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Publisher/Outlook).
• Ability to provide immunization records;First Aid/CPR with AED.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver culturally based early learning and development programs.
• Engage families and children, linking to community resources.
• Support school readiness and caregiver education programs.
• Collaborate with the team on field trips and community events.
• Maintain documentation, reporting, and curriculum alignment with NBIH.
• Assist with cleaning, safety, and coverage during vacations or illness.
• Maintain respectful practice toward First Nations culture and values.
