Job summary

The Manitoba Centre for Health Policy (MCHP) at the University of Manitoba invites applications for a full-time Research Associate commencing October 1, 2026, or on a mutually agreed date.

The successful candidate will conduct independent research under HDRN’s Indigenous Data Team, develop a strategic plan, engage First Nations, Inuit and Métis partners, and contribute to governance, sovereignty, publications and funding proposals.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with Indigenous health or Indigenous data governance preferred.
• Experience collaborating with Indigenous communities and partners.
• Strong academic writing and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Indigenous Data Team.
• Lead engagement of First Nations, Inuit and Métis scholars, organizational leaders, and community members.
• Disseminate findings and write peer-reviewed manuscripts.
