Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in property and casualty insurance pricing, reserving, or modeling.
  • Experience in actuarial modeling and adaptation is a plus.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Indication Manager, the Senior Analyst in Indications is responsible for executing indications to support insurance pricing strategies, utilizing actuarial and statistical standards. This role collaborates with provincial pricing teams and business partners to develop appropriate pricing and modeling strategies aligned with business goals.

Accountabilities

  • Perform analysis using actuarial, statistical, and predictive modeling techniques, with minimal coaching, including documentation and evaluation to provide insights and meet business needs.
  • Communicate analysis results to management and non-technical stakeholders, offering recommendations and supporting assumptions.
  • Manage or contribute to moderate-scale projects using accepted project management standards with limited guidance.
  • Review data quality and ensure accuracy in actuarial and statistical services across multiple tools.
  • Leverage understanding of insurance products, markets, and regulations to inform business strategies and build expertise.
  • Perform indications and peer reviews for property and auto lines nationwide.
  • Identify and implement efficiency and automation opportunities in the indication process.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in property and casualty insurance pricing, reserving, or modeling.

Certifications & Licenses

Functional Skills

  • Proficiency with various tools, data sources, and applications.
  • Experience in actuarial modeling and adaptation.
  • Programming skills and large data manipulation.
  • Knowledge of insurance products, risk management, and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Bonus

  • SAS experience is an asset.
