Job description

Job Title: Careers Program Support Coordinator

Reporting to the site Administrative Officer(s) and the District Principal of Careers, this position collaborates with classroom teachers, administrative staff, and partner schools to provide comprehensive career services to students.

  1. Location & Start Date: Must be based in the Lower Mainland; duties commence June 1, 2025.
  2. Hours & Work Year: 7 hours/day, 5 days/week, for eleven months annually.
  3. Salary Range: $57,381.52 - $71,716.44 per year.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support delivery of career-based programs, including Work Experience, Youth Work in Trades, World Citizenship, Global Intercultural Studies, and ConnectEd.
  • Act as liaison among instructional staff, administrative staff, and partner schools.
  • Supervise clerical staff supporting the independent school program.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partner schools and coordinate program implementation.
  • Promote career pathways and coordinate student registration and documentation.
  • Maintain and update student records using the Digital Data Management System (DDMS) and program databases.
  • Support student progress monitoring and use positive communication techniques.
  • Coordinate travel and oversee remote office operations and marketing efforts.
  • Participate in workshops and stay current with policies related to career programs and online learning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-year diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Support classroom instruction at the secondary level; experience with educational careers programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital file management, databases, LMS, and office tools.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of student data and work independently.
  • WHMIS and other safety training to be completed during probation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism in difficult conversations.
  • Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Search prior to employment.
