A community health organization in Dover is seeking an Independent Prescriber to join their mental health team for older people. The successful candidate will prescribe medication, conduct patient reviews, and take on leadership responsibilities. Experience in community health and a valid UK driving license are essential. The role emphasizes quality improvement and collaboration within a diverse team committed to mental health care.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established community mental health team for older people. The independent prescriber role is a new post within the team so the successful candidate will be encouraged to work alongside medics and other leaders to develop the post and share ideas on how it is structured.
The team includes Consultants, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) and other Independent Prescribers. The successful candidate will have clinical supervision and support to embed themselves into the team and build confidence in the role. The team also includes Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Support workers and admin staff. We are a close team and very supportive of each other.

The base for this job is Coleman House in Dover, but the role will involve working across locality including Folkestone and Deal.
