Encompass Logistics Ltd. seeks reliable, safety-focused owner-operators to support long-haul freight operations across Canada. You will operate your own highway tractor, maintain compliance, and represent the company with shippers and customers.

This independent contractor role offers compensation based on lane and rate structures, with freight opportunities nationwide. You must have a valid Class 1 licence, knowledge of hours-of-service rules, and a clean safety record.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver’s licence required.
• Own reliable highway tractor for long-haul work.
• Current driver’s abstract and safe driving record.
• Knowledge of hours-of-service rules and electronic logging requirements.
• Ability to travel long distances and meet pickup/delivery schedules.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Dry van experience is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Transport freight safely on long-haul routes across Canada.
• Complete pickup and delivery paperwork accurately.
• Communicate load status with dispatch regularly.
• Maintain trip, inspection, and hours-of-service records.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues promptly.
• Secure and handle freight per load instructions and safety requirements.
• Represent Encompass Logistics professionally with shippers and customers.
