# Independent Contractor – Working Shop Foreman (Fleet Maintenance>* Full Time* Windsor**MATIC LOGISTIC SOLUTIONS**About the Role: Matic Logistic Solutions Inc. is hiring an experienced Working Shop Foreman to manage our cross-border fleet operations as an independent contractor. Based in Windsor, Ontario, you will oversee maintenance of a fleet of 34 trucks and 100 trailers, manage 2 mechanics, and take full responsibility for repair coordination, reporting, and Fullbay system oversight. Cross-border capability is essential for site visits to our Romulus, Michigan terminal. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and assign tasks to shop mechanics • Perform diagnostics and repairs on trucks and trailers as needed • Manage work orders, labor logs, and part tracking via Fullbay • Coordinate parts purchases and vendor relationships • Ensure fleet compliance with MTO and DOT standards • Enforce safety protocols and keep the shop organized • Submit weekly maintenance reports to ownership • Travel between Windsor and Romulus as needed to support fleet operations Requirements: • 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or shop foreman • In-depth knowledge of heavy truck and trailer systems • Experience with shop management systems like Fullbay (preferred) • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills • Must have a valid Canadian passport or Enhanced Driver’s Licence • Must legally be able to travel between Canada and the U.S. • Must provide proof of contractor status (e.g., HST/GST number or registered business) • Must have own tools; commercial liability insurance preferred What We Offer: • Stable and consistent work as an independent contractor • Flexible schedule and autonomy • Clean, organized, and well-equipped shop • Long-term opportunity with a reputable and growing logistics company Apply Today: Send your resume or experience summary to [e-mail] or call/text [phone].
