CBI Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work as an Independent Contractor in Dryden, Ontario. The role involves assessment and treatment across complex auto, traumatic injury, and community rehabilitation contexts, with potential remote aspects.

The position supports client-centered care, collaboration with local and national teams, and flexible hours to balance workload. Registration with the Ontario OT college is required, with WSIB-experience considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
• A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

• Strong critical thinking, decision-making and analytic skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Empathy and rapport-building with clients.
• Experience in the private sector, particularly auto sector legislation and WSIB is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Work with clients throughout their entire treatment plan, from assessment to discharge, and be involved in the final positive outcome.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other health professionals locally and nationally to deliver excellent client outcomes.
• Provide assessment and treatment to a wide variety of clients with varying needs, including those with chronic and/or mental health conditions.
• Work with WSIB complex files.
• Perform attendant care assessments, including completion of Form 1s.
• Coordinate delivery, installation and set-up of assistive devices/home modifications and transportation/rehabilitation needs of clients post-discharge.
• Coordinate the return-to-work process with all stakeholders for a smooth workplace transition.
• Develop new programs to meet identified client needs in collaboration with the team.
• Maintain regular, timely charting, reporting and workload data.
