Role Overview
The Independent Business Development Representative (I-BDR) will focus on generating new leads, building relationships, and securing contracts with Canadian businesses. You will represent Rule 30 OIS locally, introducing potential clients to our tailored outsourcing services. As the first point of contact with potential clients, you will focus on lead generation, qualification, relationship building, and supporting the early stages of the sales pipeline. You will work independently, manage your own taxes / benefits, and leverage your entrepreneurial drive to generate business growth for Rule 30 OIS.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation
- Conduct outreach via calls, emails, events, networking channels, and social media outreach to generate interest from prospective clients.
- Identify and research potential clients through online research and networking.
- Qualify leads based on established criteria to ensure they are viable sales opportunities.
- Sales Engagement & Presentation
- Schedule meetings between qualified leads and the company's senior sales representatives.
- Present Rule 30 OIS solutions to decision-makers, highlighting value and ROI.
- Pipeline & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, nurturing them until they are ready to engage further.
- Act as the first point of contact for potential customers.
- Nurture leads and maintains a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Collaboration & Sales Support
- Work closely with the Rule 30 OIS team in the Philippines to align proposals and service offerings.
- Market & Sales Analysis
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry data to identify new business opportunities.
- Stay updated on the latest business trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- Provide market insights and feedback to support strategy development.
- Reporting
- Submit regular reports on sales activities, lead generation, and pipeline status to management.
Key Skills & Qualities
- Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and target oriented.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition (B2B preferred).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Based in Canada (preferably Alberta) with business networks an asset.
- Familiarity with outsourcing, staffing, or professional services industry
Compensation
- Commission-based structure: earnings tied directly to markups on Rule 30 OIS base pricing for each successful contract closed.
- Unlimited earning potential based on performance.

Independent Contractor Considerations
- Self-Managed Benefits & Taxes: Independent BDRs are responsible for managing their own Canadian taxes, health insurance, and other benefits.
- Own Equipment: Candidates must have their own computer, phone, and reliable internet connection for remote work.
- Compensation Model: % commission-based; income derived from markups over Rule 30 OIS base service pricing for each successful contract closed.
