Job summary

Seabird Island Band seeks an Income Assistant Coordinator to improve community well-being through social assistance applications and client empowerment. The role supports families by assessing needs, identifying resources, and facilitating access to services.

You will collaborate with the Health & Social Development team, maintain records, and contribute to programming and reporting while upholding ISC policies and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Social Services Worker Diploma or related background.
• Minimum of 3 years in financial/social development field.
• Computer literacy in MS Office and other data management programs.
• Knowledge of budgeting principles; valid BC driver’s license; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process social assistance applications per ISC policies.
• Assess client needs and resources; refer to other services as needed.
• Teach budgeting and budgeting utilities workshops.
• Maintain client records and prepare monthly reports.
• Collaborate with the employment team and Health & Social Development staff.
