This Volunteer Placement is located in: Lima, Peru

Start Date: August 2025

Placement Length: 6 months with the possibility of extension

Language Requirements: Spanish Level 4-Advanced

Cuso International is seeking a dedicated individual with a strong passion for promoting entrepreneurship opportunities to youth in Lima, Peru. In this volunteer role, you will support activities and initiatives undertaken by the KALLPA association, and contribute to advancing equality for all individuals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical assistance to optimize business plans for young entrepreneurs with disabilities from the CJEI who have completed the entrepreneurship course.
  • Conducting diagnostics to analyze ongoing businesses, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen management.
  • Facilitating workshops to improve marketing, sales, product or service quality, financial and accounting strategies, aiming to increase profitability and sustainability.
  • Conducting soft skills workshops to enhance competitiveness and productivity of entrepreneurs at CJEI.
  • Offering personalized advice, accompaniment, and follow-up on improvement plans for ongoing businesses.
  • Registering entrepreneurs in the CJEI database, tracking improvement plans, advisory services, and follow-up to ensure management improvements.
  • Participating in management meetings of the Lima Region Kallpa Association to help refine CJEI's strategy.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
  • Knowledge in business and improvement plans, marketing strategies, and small business management.
  • Understanding of disability, social and economic inclusion, gender approaches, and entrepreneurship methodologies such as EncA. Proficiency in Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Intermediate to advanced Spanish (written and oral).

Background:

  • Experience designing and advising on strategies to improve and optimize management of micro or small businesses operated by people with disabilities.
